Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing Can Help Sell Your Home

We were called to this home that was for sale in Genoa City because the basement was very wet and it needed to be fixed before it could be sold. This basement was unique because it had 3 crawlspaces surrounding the basement area. It took 2 days for us to install our WaterGuard System around 3 of the walls along with our BrightWall Paneling System. BrightWall is a rigid, waterproof, plastic panel that is fastened to the wall with special fasteners. The purpose of the panel is not only to spruce up the basement but it allows any water/moisture on the walls to be drained right into the WaterGuard System. The panels are washable and like everything else that we put in basements, will not rot or mold so there is no need to replace in a water event.

Dampness on Furnace

Although it isn't easy to see, there was quite a bit of moisture built up on the basement utilities due to the high moisture level in the basement.

Everything is Wet

There was so much dampness in the basement that it was almost unusable. There is no way that anything could be stored safely down here.

Here we have installed the WaterGuard system and have started putting up the BrightWall panels.

Brightening the Place Up

The BrightWall panels are white which allows for more light reflection making the basement look much larger, cleaner and brighter.

The SuperSump Pumping System has been place discreetly in the corner near the other utilities.

Now that the water issue has been fixed and the walls are covered, the basement is safe to use for storage, or anything else that you would like to do down there now!
