This is showing the discharge line coming out of the house and buried to a bubble pot. This takes the water being pumped out of the basement away from the house. The white item that you see near the house is an IceGuard and that is used if the discharge line becomes frozen. That will assure that the water doesn't back up into the basement.
It can be difficult to see a bowing wall in a picture, but when you look at the top of the after photo, it is obvious just how out of plumb that wall is. Along with the bowing wall, this basement also experienced water seepage. We were able to install our WaterGuard and PowerBrace systems at the same time around the entire perimeter of the basement. When we left on the last day, the walls were stabilized from any further movement and the perimeter was protected from any water intrusion.
Rick is a repeat customer of ours, when we did work the first time he only had a water issue in one part of his basement so we waterproofed that part of the basement. About 6 years later he had another problem area and we were able to come out again and help waterproof that area.
When dealing with your home's foundation, it can be difficult to know what your best options are. At Badger Basement Systems, we have several options that our design specialists take into consideration while doing their onsite visit.
One of the options that we have is the CarbonArmor System. This system is designed to stabilize bowing and leaning walls. The CarbonArmor strips are made of fiber-reinforced polymers that are 10 times stronger than steel. They are installed tight against the wall and the installation is fast, giving you immediate stabilization. The strips are even paintable or easy to conceal if you finish your basement.
This type of installation can be done year round and usually in less than one day, so why not start protecting your walls today!
Sometimes lifting concrete doesn't only need just the lifting to eliminate the gaps, but caulking helps fill those gaps and make it look much nicer.
